I’ve been trying to sort things out here. Washing, finding a spare pair of trousers, checking my route and booking places to stay along Offa’s Dyke. I’ve also bought a new waterproof jacket to replace the no longer waterproof one.

I thought I’d give you some statistics. My average mileage, not counting rest days is 10.8, so a bit short of my 12 miles a day target. Total mileage is 302 miles. I have climbed a total of 68765 feet (yes, more than twice the height of Mt Everest) and I have taken 875,000 steps. I’ll try and note when I get to one million steps.

Finding accommodation has been difficult. At short notice, it is in short supply along Offa’s Dyke. At one place, I’ve had to resort to booking a taxi to pick us up where we had planned to stop for the day and bring us back the next morning. Still, I’ve now booked every night until I leave Offa’s Dyke path to strike across Cheshire. My original plan had been to do more camping but my tent is still broken. On the plus side, it has at least arrived home after a long postal saga. It will be sent off for mending in the next day or so.

I have no rest day photos so, once again, I’m posting some flowers.
I am not sure I have even reached 100000 steps since you have been gone!
