More preparations

Over the last few weeks I have veered between calm sensible planning and frantic over-planning. Sometimes I overthink-I have planned about seven routes across Exmoor-and sometimes I just feel I can leave everything to the Walking Gods which tends to lead to underactivity, I have yet to buy a hat, for instance.
My walking is progressing. I can now walk with 12kg in the backpack. I use a combination of bags of flour and porridge oats along with a few handweights and heavy books to build up the weight. I am back at the gym, exercising, and I have been to the chiropractor to work on those particularly stubborn aching areas. I’m pleased to say that both the number and severity of the aching areas are reducing.
I am working on my kit. I have remedied the lack of socks, but, as mentioned above, still haven’t bought a hat. I am trying to work out how to post on the blog using a phone so you might find that the layout of my posts is rather varied. I’m having particular problems with photos but I hope I’ll get better at it so that by the time I’m walking there’ll be some interesting photos to look at. In the meantime there might be a few odd posts.
Off for a walk now.

Ready for today’s walk

  1. I hope that you aren’t suffering the downpour and thunder which we are presently and that things are going as well as they can do bearing in mind that spring still still hasn’t turned up.
