We set off for Cornwall this morning. The weather forecast predicted showers and the satnav predicted a 70 minute delay on the M5.

Happily, the queue on the M5 reduced to a 15 minute delay. Less happily, the showers were very heavy. Not to mention frequent.
The rain stopped somewhere just before Penzance, and when we arrived in St Just, where we are staying tonight, all was dry.

We had a walk to stretch our legs then a drink -inside in the bar, haven’t done that for a long time-followed by dinner, also inside. Crab salad, fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream. Just in case you’re interested.
Tomorrow I start from Land’s End.
Good luck Rose . I stayed at the same hotel 20 years ago when doing a chunk of the south west coast path. A modest stroll compared to your undertaking ! Nigel

I’m glad that you had a good meal to combat the misery of the weather. I wonder if Spring will finally have started by the time you reach John O’Groats? Good luck tomorrow x
